Download and install all available drivers and software for your printer. If the page shows a different operating system, click the “Choose a different OS” link and select your correct operating system. The page should detect your operating system automatically. But if the CD is not included or is no longer available, you can download the driver software from the manufacturer’s website. If you have the CD with you, insert it on your optical drive and install the software. When you buy the printer, it usually comes with a setup CD. Merely connecting the printer to the computer using the USB cable is not enough because the computer will not be able to identify your device and won’t be operational.
